Chris Juergensen

Guitarist, composer and educator

Native New Yorker, long time studio musician and session guitarist Chris Juergensen is in constant demand as a sideman, front man and clinician. He currently divides his time between Tokyo where he is the vice principal at TOKYO SCHOOL OF MUSIC SHIBUYA and New York where he continues to write, record, play and teach. With an impressive discography that includes standout albums like 'Prospects,' 'Big Bad Sun,' and 'Strange Phenomena,' Chris has established a unique musical identity that resonates with listeners. Collaborating with renowned musicians such as Leo Traversa, Daniel Baeder, Ray Luzier, Vince Cherico, and Brian Allen, Chris's singles have also garnered attention for their rhythmic complexity and melodic richness. Through the marriage of his distinctive sound and the skillful partnerships he forges, Chris continues to push the boundaries of musical expression and captivate audiences worldwide. His music has been used in coutless movies and commericals such as REGRETS, THE AWAKENED, A NUN A GUN AND A PROSTITUTE and most recently in Victory Motorcycle's promotional videos.

Written by Chris, The Infinite Guitar has remained an international best selling instructional book since it was first published in 2006 and has been published in Chinese as well as English. The Empowered Musician was published Summer 2008 and his newest release, The Infinite Guitar Companion was published in June 2011.

For his efforts in promoting American art through international music education, Chris was made an honorary citizen of New Orleans by the Mayor of the city, Marc H. Morial in 1995 and was asked to perform on behalf of Japan at the Japanese embassy in Seoul Korea in 2004 and again in 2009.
